everyone with clay, mobiles, stepping stones, tie dye shirts , origami
and more. No time for boredom! This camp is good for two hours in the
morning and then children are off for other summer adventures!

be 3 sessions. Gene will teach everyone to make a pot and do some slab
rolling. This class is good for the student who has taken several hand
building classes and is eager to learn the wheel.

Students will make 6 “ round ball shapes with clay to create fun faces
that will be awesome surprise art in the flowers! The faces will be

special board that will be primed and ready to paint. The
paint and protective finish will also be provided Each student
is to bring their simple quilt pattern that they wish to use and Sue
will show them how to apply it to their board. Everything will
be provided except the design and of course the barn or corn crib you

Precious Metal Clay & Earrings

Students form 2
pairs of earrings out of an unique clay called PMC. They will be
dried and fired in a small kiln that burns the clay particles away
and leaves hardened silver! The students polish, insert wires and
rings and have silver earrings to take home that day! No experience
necessary.

teach basics of crimping, beading, tools and clasps and the end
result will be an ankle bracelet with beaded inserts that can be
interchanged.
Plein Air Pastel Workshop

Diane is from
Glidden, Iowa and has 30 years of teaching experience in Iowa and
Missouri beginning, her teaching career in the late 70’s just south
of Spencer at South Clay Schools. She has earned a BA from
Graceland University with an Art Major, is a National Board
Certified Teacher in Art and has recently completed her MFA in
Visual Arts from the Art Institute in Boston. She will have
students outside as weather permits and concentrate on landscape or
buildings. Participants can expect informal individual help and
critiques and the class will be for all levels of experience.
Evening Open Studio
Open Studios is
now every THURSDAY NIGHT from 5pm - 9pm. Don't forget you can
also use the studio from 10am - 5pm Tuesday - Friday and Saturday
from 10am - 3pm
