Pastels and Plein Air with Diane Kunzler
About the Instructor: Diane has 29 years of teaching experience in Iowa and Missouri,
beginning her teaching career in the late 70’s just south of Spencer at South Clay Schools.
She has earned a BA from Graceland University with an Art Major, is a National Board
Certified Teacher in Art and has recently completed her MFA in Visual Arts from the Art
Institute of Boston. The Midwest landscape has been at the center of Diane’s work for the
past 25 years. Her interests include traditional panoramic views of Iowa and close–up views
of the environment.
About the Workshop: Weather permitting the class will be held outside where students will
focus on landscapes or buildings. Participants can expect informal individual help and
critiques and the class will be for all levels of experience.
